The mark consists of the State of Kansas in white, outlined in yellow on a field of blue. There are three lengths of pipeline represented in yellow as running in parallel from the northern border of the state, beginning in the northwest part of the state and running south toward the southwest corner of the state, then making a soft ninety degree turn toward the east and running across the state parallel to the Oklahoma border and exiting the eastern border of the state. The stylized text "KANSAS PIPELINE ASSOCIATION" is represented in blue in the remaining portion of the state (to the right of and above the yellow pipelines), and "KPA" is represented in blue in the lower right-hand area directly on the yellow pipelines.
