The double star consist of an outer star and inner star. We believe this design is unique to HBCUAthletes. The addition of the star signifies the star student-athletes that our business promotes. We are not claiming rights to the acronym HBCU, which stands for Historically Black Colleges and Universities nor the word athletes. .
