The mark consists of the word "CRIMSON" in all caps in silver, with silver rivets appearing in each letter. The word "CRIMSON" appears against a background of gold gears that resemble the inside of a mechanical watch, all set against a black background containing gold rivets at the edges. The center of the "O" in "CRIMSON" consists of a gold human skull with red eyes and nose cavities. Underneath the word "CRIMSON", centered between the letters "I" and "O" are the words "STEAM PIRATES" in silver in all caps. "STEAM PIRATES" is also set against a black background. Three gold bars, set horizontally, extend from the "S" in "STEAM" and from the "S" in "PIRATES" to the edges of the mark. At the top of the mark, extending from midway across the "C" to midway across the "N" in "CRIMSON" is decorative gold filigree. The entire mark is set in an oblong rounded frame with a lower extension where the words "STEAM PIRATES" appear.
