The mark consists of a unique representation of a weather chart wind barb symbol, herein referred as "wind bard". It is a stylized "W" of textured golden-orange color, with the two left-most of the three parallel lines, canted roughly 50 degrees from the horizontal, and being of equal height and width. The third and right-most of the three parallel lines being half the height and same width of the two left-most lines. The tips of each of the three parallel lines bear an artist's brush stroke to the left, depicting a wind-blown flame. The bottom left-most region of the wind barb contains a separate thin brush-stroke of the same golden-orange color which matches the contour of the left-most parallel line. All three of the canted parallel lines have a black shadow below and to the left, indicating that a light source exists outside of the right frame of the entire mark. The base of the "W" extends to the right with a slightly rising then descending contoured arc. The right end of the arc terminates to a fine tip. Centered below the wind bard is the literal element of the mark, WINDWARD AVIATION, in the all caps black font of Trajan Pro Regular. The letter "N" of "AVIATION" is stylized with the lower-right point of the character extended slightly below the level of the rest of the literal element, and terminating in a point. The upper-left of the "N" is stylized with a brush-stroke terminating in a fine tip and extending upwards and to the left towards, but not touching, the right-most termination point of the curving wind barb. This curving and tapered brush-stroke on the "N" begins in the lower-right in the color black and fades into the color golden-orange, matching the golden-orange color of the wind barb, as it extends upwards and to the left. The golden-orange upper-left tip of the "N" contains a thin black shadow below and to the left, indicating that a light source exists outside of the right frame of the entire mark. Behind the wind barb and the literal element is a stylized representation of the Western hemisphere continents of a global depiction of Earth, herein referred to as globe. The continents within the globe are stainless steel and silver in color, with a haloed grey drop-shadow. The depiction of the globe does not contain any color or texture representing the areas where the water would exist.
