The mark consists of a three-dimensional configuration of a clear bottle containing an amber beverage; the cap and band around the top of the bottle are in blue with the signature "S. METAXA" written on the band in gold with a gold horizontal line below it; on the body of the bottle is a copper label, at the top of the label are three concentric circles outlined in blue with blue horizontal lines in between in the second and innermost circles and in the middle is a design depicting a warrior on a boat in front of a sunrise in the middle and the blue words and numbers "ANO TO 1888" above the design and the signature "S. METAXA" written in blue; all of the aforementioned outlined in blue on a copper background; on each side of the bottom portion of the circles design is a white horizontal line above white horizontal dots; below the circles design are the words "ANO TO 1888" and "METAXA THE ORIGINAL GREEK SPIRIT" in blue letters; below this wording is a blue banner with a row of horizontal white dots and a horizontal white line above and below the banner with the banner containing seven gold stars and the number and wording "7 STARS" in white; below the banner is the bottom portion of the copper label with the signature "S. METAXA" written in blue; below the signature is a blue medal hanging from a closed-top crown and ribbon, all outlined in blue, with wording in Greek non-Latin characters in blue, all on a copper background; on either side of the ribbon are six medals outlined in blue on a copper background; the coins bearing respectively an image of a bust of a male figure, a laurel wreath, a standing female figure, a seated figure, a walking anthropomorphic lion and a bearded male figure, with each coin containing designs of scribbles, solid white appears at the bottom and at the top of the copper label.
