The mark consists of The word "Mexival" in stylized, red letters outlined in green. The left-to-right cross hatch of the "x" extends in curving fashion from over the "M-e" to down under the "i-v-a-l". This extended cross hatch includes a green and white line along the lower edge. The "M" and "L" are capital letters and the "E", "X", "V" and "A" are small caps. The letter "i" is lower case, and in place of a dot over the "i" there is a red chili pepper with a green stem. The "L" leans back towards the "A". The word is substantially contained within a yellow oval with a green outline and with the image of a sunburst appearing subtly in the background with white sun rays extending down and outward from the upper middle part of the oval. The left, bottom stem of the "M" extends slightly outside of the oval.
