The S. I. Nouveau Shield consists of four vertical stripes, alternating burgundy and gold, across the top sector and gold serpent scales similar to diamonds on the bottom sector. Also in the top sector of the shield is a burgundy diamond with a golden serpent in the shape of the letter "S". Underneath the serpent, still within the diamond, are the letters "i" and "n" designed in a manner so as to resemble an apple. The burgundy diamond also has a white gradient effect. The scales in the bottom sector feature burgundy trimming between them as well as a white gradient to create a metallic shine effect in the gold areas (This metallic shine effect is present in all gold areas of the mark). Also featured in the bottom sector are the letters "MMIV", Roman numerals for 2004. These two sectors are divided by a burgundy and gold sash that runs across the shield from top left to bottom right. The sash features black trimming around each of the three stripes (burgundy, gold, burgundy) in the sash. Resting on top of the shield is a golden crown that resembles a cityscape. The word "S. I. Nouveau" is engraved on the front. The crown has black trimming on the letters as well as black details on the crown's "buildings" from the cityscape it resembles along with white crosses that represent the shine from diamonds in the crown. The color burgundy appears on the stripes throughout the shield as well as the diamond. The color gold appears on the stripes, scales, serpent, and crown of the shield. The color white appears as a gradient on the burgundy diamond as well as all gold areas of the shield to create a metallic shine effect and also as diamonds in the crown. The color black appears as trimming on stripes and letters as well as details on the serpent and crown.
