The mark consists of a purple field at the top, beneath which is the CALTRATE word mark in black and shadowed in silver against a white background inside the arc of a curved, horseshoe-shaped ribbon, where the outside edge of the ribbon is silver and the inside edge is yellow, that has a silver curved line on the right side that forms an oval by closing the open end of the curved ribbon, beneath which is a thin strip of purple, beneath which is a field of white that bleeds into purple toward the bottom, beneath which is a curved silver line running upward from left to right, all beneath which is a field of purple appearing at the bottom.
