TakenAdvantageOf;com (aka "TAO") exists to provide resources to individuals, who have been taken advantage of by a wrongdoer and, as a result, have suffered a financial or emotional hardship; TAO's goal is to help the victim rebuild his or her life and empower him or her throughout a difficult transition; TAO will try to intervene so that a victim is not put in a position of having to file for bankruptcy or welfare; TAO will strive to provide a lifeline for these victims, so they are no longer swimming in a pool of sharks, alone, while trying to fight for financial or emotional survival; It is a brutal world at times; When strife occurs, TAO provides victims with a clearinghouse of sources from the local civic and business communities in hopes of establishing a strong unified front to fight against these wrongdoers; In doing so, TAO will be able to protect future victims better - "Together, we are stronger!" TAO seeks to educate the public that it is not only the victim who suffers, but also those they love as well as the public at large; When someone files for welfare, unemployment or bankruptcy as a result of the acts of a scandalous company, a scam artist, an ex-spouse, neighbor or other close wrongdoer, all of society bears the cost; Wrongdoers affect us all directly or indirectly; TAO intends to spread the message that we are onto the wrongdoers of the world and that we intend to prevent further damage to innocent victims; TAO will accomplish its goals by educating individuals on how to identify wrongdoers, how to deal with wrongdoers; how to avoid wrongdoers; and how to escape wrongdoers; TAO does this by providing links to professionals dedicated to assisting people in need including attorneys, psychologists, hotlines, grouporganizations such as Al-Anon, Better Business Bureau, and employment agencies; In pursuing theseobjectives, TAO also wants to convey a strong message to victims to let them know they are not alone and that they have rights!!
