The bottom and side lines are straight while the top line of the enclosure is arched upward. Inside the enclosure, the words "THE FINEST TEAS OF THE WORLD" appear in an arc across the top of the design over the words "MELANGES EXQUIS" and "MIILLESIMES D'EXCEPTION" in a banner divided between "EXQUIS" and "MILLESIMES" over an oval consisting of a heavier outside line and a thinner inside line containing "1837" over the letters "TWGTEA". All numbers and letters in the oval are in outline form. Under the oval in an arc are the words "GRANDS CRUS PRESTIGE." To the left and to the right of the design is a leaf. On the left, under the leaf is an oval tray design containing the words "CAVE DES THES." Underneath those words are depictions of a palm tree, a sailing ship and two chests. Under the chests is a tea canister bearing the letters "CHINE". In the middle of the design under GRANDS CRUS PRESTIGE are two male figures in traditional Asian clothing and hat. The left figure is holding a tray with a teapot. The right figure is holding a tea cup. In between the two figures is a tea canister bearing the letters "TWG" in an oval and the letters "INDE". On the right of the design under the leaf described above is an arched banner: The top part of the banner contains the word "EXCELLENCE", the middle contains the word "TRADITION" and the bottom contains the word "QUALITE". In the middle of the banner curve a leaf is depicted. Under the banner is a depiction of a sailing ship above a tea canister bearing the word CEYLAN. Seven gulls are depicted throughout the design. Thirty six dark spots are found near the feet of the two figures. The words THES and MILLESIMES contain French accents over the first E.
