The purpose of the trademark is to provide clients (predominantly law firms and legal departments of corporations) with the option to subscribe to a monthly ESI (Electronically Stored Information) data extraction and processing plan that includes the processing of an agreed upon number of Gigabytes of ESI per month. If that prior, contractually agreed upon threshold is not met, the balance is carried over into the following month and added to their monthly processing allowance under the contract
