The mark consists of applied graphic elements on a clear bottle, namely, a gold cap wrap with the words "MOUNT GAY RUM" in black above "BARBADOS" in red; a gold string around the neck of the bottle with a gold pin having an embossed seal design with the letters MG, the body of the bottle having an recessed square portion containing a square label with a gold field, the label bearing the words "MOUNT GAY RUM" in black above the word "BARBADOS" in red, above a red star, the words "SINCE 1703" in black next to the red star, all laid over a map of "Barbados" in gold; the word "1703" in black above the words "OLD CASK SELECTION" in black, below the map; the words "SINCE 1703" and a crest design with the letters "MG" embossed on the bottle above the label, and the words "PERFECTED BY TRADITION" embossed on the bottle below the label. Amber liquid is contained in the bottle. Though portions of the clear bottle and the elements embossed thereon may appear to show white, gray or black, this only results from the visual effect of light on a clear bottle and clear embossments, and these colors are not a feature of the mark. The dotted lines around the bottle indicate that the shape of the bottle is not claimed as part of the mark and is merely shown in the drawing to indicate the placement of the mark in relation to the bottle.
