The certification mark, as used by authorized persons, certifies that user is a grower or distributor of (1) quality products that meet the established grade standards for the top two grades for the particular item (those products not having USDA or state grade established will be evaluated on the basis of commodity or industry association guidelines); (2) food products that are 100% locally grown (except in the case of processed food items which must have at least 75% content of items produced in Alaska); and (3) nursery products that are propagated and grown to a finished product in Alaska whose crop production time in Alaska is at least 50% of the finished product, or foliage plants that are brought into Alaska and acclimatized in a greenhouse or protected structure for a minimum of 6 months, or woody plants that are brought into Alaska and over-wintered outdoor for a minimum of two years at a nursery or greenhouse.
