The certification mark, as used by authorized persons, certifies that these persons, who are performing these services, have demonstrated qualifications of professional knowledge and competency in such field of accordance with requirements established by the certifier, including; the completion of the necessary educational, internship, and residency requirements; submittal of the required credentials for review and acceptance by the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists exam committee; and, passing a four (4) day examination consisting of written practical and surgical components.
