The mark consists of a melodic/rhythmic musical phrase, the duration of which is less than two seconds, consisting of a melodic sequence equivalent to "G - AFlat - G" which crescendos toward the end of the phrase and is followed by a brief fade out. The phrase is played on the Japanese musical instrument the "Shakuhachi", and sounds similar to a flute and a cymbal sounding simultaneously and/or a quick train whistle.
