The certification mark as intended to be used by authorized persons, is intended to certify that the user has met the certifier's standards for professional competence and has met minimum educational and practice qualifications established by the certifier for medical ultrasound and sonograph technology, including completion of a Bachelor's Degree, American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers Certification as Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, Registered Vascular Technologist or equivalent certification, five years certified sonographer clinical experience, completion of Master's Degree core curriculum and elective course work, post-Master's course work in clinical training, and successful completion of Ultrasound Practitioner National Board Examination.
