A rectangular band which is also golden brown outlined with dark brown and fanciful designs in dark brown extend across the bottom and on the reverse side of the container is a stylized golden brown lion holding a coat-of-arms with the letters "MS" inside an almost circular golden brown frame containing the words "MONOPOLI DI STATO ITALIA" which is over the dark brown wording "Il sigaro piu famoso del mondo realizzato con la cura e i metodi che diedero origine alla sua fortuna (1818)" which is surrounded by a brown rectangular frame and brown ornamentation. All of the foregoing is shown on a wood-like background in shades of brown. The colors are claimed as a feature of the mark.
