The certification mark, as used by persons authorized by applicant, certifies that the supplemental medicare insurance policy identified with the mark, meets the minimum standards of section 3 of the "Medicare Managed Care Act of 1990" which permits states to approve as supplemental medicare policies those policies (MEDICARE SELECT) that restrict the payment of supplemental Medicare benefits to and for services furnished by a specific contractual network of health care providers
